This is the last painting I did while on the beach in Byron Bay, Australia. I did about 30 in total. The first one sucked. I’m not posting it

What makes a person have sex appeal? Im not really sure, but I do know when I see it. Its a charisma that comes from deep within and shines out for everyone to enjoy. I love hanging out with sexy people, its infectious. And fun. Here’s a shot of all my sexy friends….I made them all model for me for the Urban Buckles website.

Down Under
I’m sitting here this morning with serious jet lag, oxygen deprivation ( Calgary is at 4500 ft altitude ) and a new dependency on skin lotion……i’ve been down under for the past 10 weeks, working on my bucket list and improving my life skills.
Here’s a breakdown of the itinerary. Landed in Sydney Australia February 16th. Yup missed a nasty cold snap……….Participated in Mardi Gras, very cool and HUGE.
Flew to Fiji and did some serious snorkeling a little diving and grew my hair.
Continued on to Cairns, hub to the Great Barrier Reef. Did 22 dives in seven days of the Reef with Mike Ball Dive Expeditions. Trekked in the rain forest and lived to tell about it. Did you know Australia has more plants and insects that can kill you than any other part of the world?
Continued to Byron Bay, a surfing and hippie town.
A quick trip to Adelaide to see a less touristy part of Australia. Then back to Sydney and home. Adjusting back to life is proving a little difficult……but I could hardly wait to put my cowboy boots on!!!

Life as we know it
According to the Mayan Calendar our world is going to end this december……..thanks goodness i say!!!!! I’m very excited by this concept. What it really means is that we are being given an opportunity to write our own history instead of recording it. How exciting!!
So the question is…what do you want the world to look like?
I’m pushing for peace and love…………no really, why not? How hard can that be?
Darwin is often misquoted, I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “the strongest will survive”, but what he was really saying is “those who are most adaptable will survive”. A very different statement.
So how are you going to adapt this year? Do you have a deep burning desire that you have kept hidden? A secret passion that is waiting to come out? Or just simply a lifestyle change that needs the right opportunity to be fulfilled? This is it, this is the opportunity…..start with those baby steps and let’s write history!!!
Aurora Borealis is a new series ive been working on for the past 6 months. My first showing of this work will be this March held at Stoneworx Gallery in ArtCentral. I figure this is the perfect year for a new series. Stay tuned for more info on this. Cheers, lisa
